Most South American hardwoods are extremely suitable for road and hydraulic engineering, but also as garden wood and all kinds of outdoor constructions.
The range of timbres with a certificate is growing rapidly. Furthermore, we have our own employees on site who closely monitor developments and immediately implement any possible instructions or changes by the relevant authorities. In this way we can guarantee that the wood is traceable, has a legal AND sustainable chain and often also bears the FSC® certificate or the NCLS certificate.
Quality and sustainability go hand in hand
We deploy our own people from the source to thoroughly check all permissions and documents. Carla, our forestry engineer also regularly visits the suppliers' sites and their forest projects.
We always obtain a detailed inspection report on the quality of the goods before they are loaded.
Check on origin before departure
The full flow of legal documents is checked before shipment. The wood can only be shipped with the approval of this chain. Until the moment of loading on the ship, our own employees on site also closely follow all steps from forest project to sawmill to exporter, including the transport chain.
Check when unloading in Aalbeke
The containers are carefully stripped after arrival. The quality of each timber shipment is thoroughly checked and a detailed report is registered. After approval, they are transferred to our warehouses in Aalbeke.
Storage in our warehouses
Once we stack the wood in our warehouses, the wood is again physically tested against the shipping documents. There is a final check on the quality of the batch, including taking photos for our portal site. This way every customer can see in advance what he will buy from us.
