Since January 2019 Vandecasteele Houtimport has employed Carla Vanessa Moraes, accredited Forest Engineer to conduct field auditing and CoC verification. 

By performing on-site audits throughout their complete Brazilian supply chain, Vandecasteele Houtimport verifies that all actors in the supply chain have a robust chain of custody system in place.

Vandecasteele Houtimport takes adequate mitigation measures to reduce risks in the supply chain to a low risklevel. Only if all risk mitigation measures together attain a negligible level of risk, the timber can be sourced.

The Vandecasteele Houtimport due diligence implies a continuous process in the daily activities from sourcing, stocking, transporting and selling the timber.
