Vandecasteele Houtimport shines at the Voka Sustainable Business Day 2025 and is once again recognized as SDG CHAMPION
During the 8th edition of the Voka Sustainable Business Day at Technopolis, no fewer than 79 Flemish companies were awarded a UN sustainability certificate. It was an inspiring day filled with forward-looking ambitions, knowledge sharing, and recognition for those who truly embed sustainability into their business operations.
Vandecasteele Houtimport: 24 years of sustainable commitment
Vandecasteele Houtimport previously received the SDG Champion recognition in 2023. Being honored again, this time in the category of Strategic Champion, confirms our continued dedication to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This recognition highlights our strategic approach and integration of sustainability across all aspects of our operations.
In addition, we have been actively engaged with the VCDO for 24 years, consistently working to structurally embed sustainability into our strategy and daily activities.
As the first timber company worldwide to receive this double recognition, we demonstrate that sustainable entrepreneurship goes hand in hand with ambition and innovation.
We are extremely proud of this achievement and remain committed to contributing as a pioneer to a sustainable future.
Together towards 2030
As a family business, we believe in long-term sustainable growth. With our large stock of certified wood, our green neighborhood initiatives, and our active role in the sector, we continue to build a future where business goes hand in hand with respect for people and the planet.
We thank Voka and UNITAR CIFAL for these recognitions and remain dedicated to making a positive impact – both locally and globally.
